Just a kid from Short Gap…

I’m from a super small town in West Virginia. So small, they named it “Short Gap”. They have beautiful mountains, but it’s way too cold in the winter! Raised by parents who love Jesus, I was fortunate to find an awesome church and a youth pastor who knew what it meant to really believe in students.

My youth pastor introduced me to an amazingly creative guy who was about to begin a discipleship program. Fast forward twenty years, and I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside that same guy and his wife to help lead inCharacter School of Ministry.

Yeah, the connection from all those years ago is what still drives me: to be a disciple of Jesus who makes disciples.

So why launch JP Marker Creative?

In addition to being a discipler, I love the creative arts. The creative process has driven me for years; whether on stage in theatrical productions or leading graphic design projects for churches, regional ministries, and local businesses. One of the most rewarding aspects is seeing others wearing apparel I’ve designed.
